Tis a sad morn this Friday. MG, the British Motor Corp., manufacturer of my first sports car ( a 1963 MGB) is out of production and in bankruptcy. In 1967, I bought a new MG from Hyland Motors on Staten Island. Cost: $2750.00 Monthly payment: $89.00. It was cherry red, wire wheels, soft top, stebro carbs, heavy duty clutch plate and ran like the wind. Would I love to that car in Willow. Maybe I'll have enough pennys in the jar for a 3-d picture. :-)

I was making around $11,000 yr then. I guess wages and prices are pretty close. That's a relief. There's still hope.
